Jungle Mahout

Location: Thailand, Northern Jungles

The confidence of this seasoned mahout lent an air of timelessness and serenity to the safari. While puffing away on a well-used pipe, he guided the movement of the elephant by nudging the back of the elephant’s ears with his own bare feet. A disobedient elephant would get a reprimand from the stick in his right hand.
